Jared Barsky is an associate patent and intellectual property attorney with the Firm.  He has been practicing intellectual property law for over three years and has gained practical experience in all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, litigation, licensing and unfair competition.

Prior to his joining the firm, Mr. Barsky gained litigation experience as a law clerk for a firm in Montgomery County, Maryland and as a judicial intern for Circuit Court Judges in Howard County, Maryland and Baltimore City, Maryland.  Mr. Barsky was selected to represent his law school as an oral advocate at the International Environmental Moot Court Competitions at the Stetson University School of Law in Florida.

In addition to having litigation experience, Mr. Barsky views intellectual property rights as business assets, not rights operating in a vacuum.  Mr. Barsky often finds that concentrating in business law while obtaining his J.D. and focusing his Masters studies in public finance are invaluable tools in providing counsel in the intellectual property field.

He is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland and is registered to practice before the USPTO.  His admission to practice in the District of Columbia is being processed.  Mr. Barsky is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Montgomery County Maryland Inn of Court, the International Trademark Association, the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland and the Bar Association of Howard County, Maryland, to name a few.
